Guide Review - The Intercontinental Hong Kong

The Intercontinental Hong Kong in most cities would be head and shoulders above the competition, in Hong Kong, the hotel maybe matched by several of the city’s first-class hotels, but it is nevertheless an absolutely supreme five-star hotel.

While the Intercontinental may not boast some of the PR glitz of other Hong Kong hotels, it is however regularly voted the best hotel in the city, thanks to reliably top-notch service, a wonderful setting, and un-Hong Kong large rooms. The hotel wins particular praise for its hospitality, with guests regularly reporting the level of staff service to be the best they have ever experienced.

The Intercontinental also boasts some of the best views in the city of Hong Kong’s harbor and the famed Central, Hong Kong skyline.

The Intercontinental’s other claim to fame, is its battery of world-class restaurants. Its flagship is the Spoon Café, which despite the understated name, is rated as one of the city’s best restaurants, and whose famous Sunday-brunch is often booked out months in advance – for non guests. 2006 saw international superstar and chef superior, Nobu open his first China restaurant in the hotel.
