Hong Kong is bounded by the Chinese border at Low Wu in the north and surrounded by the South China Sea on all other sides. Aside from Lamma and the South Side of Hong Kong Island, all of the areas above can be reached by MTR, making transport quick. Stanley and Aberdeen are reached by bus, while access to Lamma is via ferry from Central.
You can find information and profiles on most of the areas marked on the Hong Kong map below.
Photo Tour of Central - Hong Kong's defacto capital, Central is jungle of skyscrapers, high end shopping malls and the swankiest hotels in town.
Tsim Sha Tsui Guide - The business end of town for tourists, Tsim Sha Tsui is stuffed with first class museums, some of Hong Kong's most famous sights and seemingly half a dozen hundred hotels.
Causeway Bay Profile - If you've come to Hong Kong to flex your platinum card, no where will it get a more thorough work out than in Causeway Bay. From premium Japanese department stores to Hong Kong's cutting edge clothes designers, there is no better place to shop.
Photo Tour of Mongkok - Shopping, haggling and grabbing a bargain at one of Hong Kong's markets is one of the best experiences in the city. The bustling Ladies Market in Mongkok may not be one of the most authentic markets in town, but it's bursting with colour, noise and brash stall holders.
Stanley Profile - Hong Kong's premium resort town, Stanley's seafront promenade is brimming with restaurants and bars and by night is the ideal place for some Al Fresco dining.
Hong Kong Disneyland Guide - Mickey and Friends are camped out on Lantau Island and while the distance may look great but with the MTR it's less than 30mins from Central.
Happy Valley Horse Racing Guide - Little more than a sleepy residential quarter most of the week, Wednesday nights sees Happy Valley take centre stage as host of the fantastic Hong Kong Races.
Wan Chai Profile - Hong Kong's original hedonist playground. The pubs, clubs and red light district of Wan Chai have been a popular place to drink and fall over since the Suzie Wong days of the 1960's and it remains the best place in town for a pint.
