An essential part of many peoples life in Hong Kong., Tai Chi can be seen throughout the city, especially early in the morning.

Tai Chi is an ideal form of exercise, but also perfect for relaxing and for this city with tow feet on the gas, it is a favoured way to unwind and stay healthy. Tai Chi is a series of fluid movements which are designed to keep the balance of Yin and Yang in the body. None of these movements are strenuous, nor are they difficult to learn, making Tai Chi popular with tourists.

The Hong Kong Tourism Board runs free Tai Chi classes for beginners, four days a week, with a trained Tai Chi practitioner. The classes are run at two of Hong Kong’s prime locations, the Avenue of Stars with views of the Hong Kong Island skyline, and The Peak Tower Rooftop, affording breathtaking views of the city below.
