Story of the Horse

The Ancient Olympic Games
Hands-down the best of the various museum tributes to the Olympics. The Hong Kong Heritage Museum has managed to loan a superb selection of Olympic and Greek related artifacts from the British Museum. These include 110 items of pottery, bronzeware and sculptures. The centerpiece is a marble sculpture of the Discus thrower. The exhibition also explores the ancient city of Olympia and the ancient games.

Olympic Live Sites
Hong Kong has thrown up two big screens playing all the action from the big ticket events. The first screen is outside where the Olympics are being held in Sha Tin Park, while the other more centrally located, and more atmospheric is at Victoria Park. Each area will also be hosting a series of cultural events, including traditional Chinese music, opera and martial arts. You can see a full schedule at the LCSD website.
