Flights from Hong Kong to Bangkok are frequent and cheap; however, they are also popular, and can often be full at short notice. Below you’ll find general advice on how and where to book, price advice and a list of airlines offering flights from Hong Kong to Bangkok.

Price Advice:

You’ll find a wide range of prices on flights from Hong Kong to Bangkok, with return prices between HK$200 and $300 (inclusive of taxes). These prices are usually offered by major airlines which have regular promotions on this route although the lowest price isn’t always available. Budget airlines, which come and go with alarming frequency on this route, offer prices around the $200 mark. The standard price of return ticket, say with Cathay Pacific of Thai Airways, is just under $300 (inclusive of taxes). Check fares now

General Advice:

  • Bangkok is sometimes an intermediary stop on the way to a final destination such as Europe or Africa for many carriers, with flight times suited to the final destination not Bangkok, and you should be careful you aren’t arriving into Bangkok in the middle of the night.

  • Short package holidays from Hong Kong can occasionally be priced as competitively as a return flight, with hotels included. These packages are available to non residents and it’s worth heading into a Hong Kong travel agent to see what offers are currently available.

  • Bangkok is a major holiday destination for Hong Kongers and during Hong Kong holidays you should book your seat well in advance and expect to pay a premium price.

  • Cathay Pacific offers up too four connection a day between Hong Kong and Bangkok, as does Thai Airways. These are the main carriers on this route.
