The Hong Kong Olympic torch route has been announced, pending arrival of the flame in Hong Kong on May 2nd. Below is the official map of the Hong Kong Olympic torch route. The Hong Kong route is particularly long, with the torch covering 33km between 10am and 6pm.
It's important to note that due to ongoing security concerns surrounding the Olympic Torch, due to protests in other cities, the Hong Kong government has stated that the route may be changed and/or shortened.
The main audience staging areas are the Hong Kong Cultural Centre in Tsim Sha Tsui, which will host the launching ceremony, Sha Tin Racecourse and Golden Bauhina Square, which will host the closing ceremony. However, these are currently invitation only events.
Good vantage points along the actual route, where the torch will be on foot, are Nathan Road in Tsim Sha Tsui and Hennessey Road in Wan Chai, although Sha Tin is likely to be less crowded than both Central and Tsim Sha Tsui.
