Hong Kong Public Holidays often change each year according to the lunar calendar, below is a list of Hong Kong public holidays for 2010.

All Sundays are also a holiday in Hong Kong, however Saturday is a half-working day for the majority of Hong Kongers. This is changing and over the next few years Saturday should become a full free day.

  • New Years Day - 1st Jan

  • Lunar New Year's Eve -13th Feb

  • The second day of the Lunar New Year - 15th Feb

  • The third day of the Lunar New Year - 16th Feb

  • Ching Ming Festival - 6th Apr

  • Good Friday -2nd April

  • The day following Good Friday - 3rd Apr

  • Easter Monday - 5th Apr

  • Labour Day -1st May

  • Buddha's Birthday - 21st May

  • Tuen Ng Festival - 16th June

  • Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Establishment Day - 1st Jul

  • National Day - 1st Oct

  • The day following Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival - 23rd Sep

  • Chung Yeung Festival - 1st Oct

  • Christmas Day - 25th Dec

  • Boxing Day - 26th Dec
