UPDATED -JUNE 13th

Phase Three of ticket sales in Hong is now under way, with, at the time of writing, a glut of tickets available for events. We've tried to keep the instructions below as simple and straightforward as possible, but please pop a comment in the forum if anything isn't clear.

The only official Olympic ticket seller in Hong Kong is the China Travel Service (CTS) , don't buy tickets from anyone or anywhere else. Phase three tickets are available to everyone, not only Hong Kong residents. You can buy tickets either from their website or from one of the CTS shops.

You can check the availability and prices of tickets, as well as purchase them at the CTS Online Purchase page . To buy online, you will first need to register online with CTS. For all tickets you'll need to fill in the Purchasers Record Sheet, which can be downloaded at the CTS website, and includes standard info such as passport number and address. You can purchase a maximum of 15 tickets in each transaction, less for final events.

When you have purchased your tickets, you will receive a 'ticket exchange coupon', with this, and your passport you will collect your tickets from a CTS office in Hong Kong, from seven days to one day prior to the event. Where they may, or may not make you jump through hoops.

Tickets for final events are only available in select CTS branches and not online. The CTS branches selling final tickets are as follows; CTS Headquarters(Sheung Wan), Wanchai Branch, Mongkok Branch, Kwun Tong Branch, Tsuen Wan Branch and Shatin Branch. You can find CTS branch addresses on the CTS website. Ticket prices range from HK$58-HK$544, depending on the event and ticket type.

Another way to get tickets is from accredited ticket agents in your home country. Each of the organisations have a limited monopoly on tickets, although selected tour operators have also been allocated tickets.
