Almost as exciting as your advent calender, as the count down to Christmas continues, at Number 3 we bring you Hong Kong's favourite eating implement.
Ok, so chopsticks aren't going to be that 'wow' present that knocks everyone off their feet on Christmas morning, but if you thought all their was to chopsticks was the half chewed wooden ones thrown at you in your local Chinese restaurant, you couldn't be more wrong.
In Hong Kong, ornate chopsticks are as prized as a brand name handbag or swanky pair of shoes and can be easily as stylish. Intricately carved wooden chopsticks or carefully painted, ceramic chopsticks are the Hong Kong equivalent of the family silver in the West, and can make wonderful gifts. Often found in luxurious presentation cases or in sets that contain soup bowls, they're an easy stocking stuffer for anyone who likes noodles as well as turkey.
