What is Hong Kong Most Famous For?

By March 3, 2009

Follow me on:

Hong Kong is one of the world’s most iconic cities, mentioned in the same breath as London, New York and Tokyo, and rightly so; a world power in financial markets, more skyscrapers than any other city and some of the best shopping on earth are just a few of Hong Kong’s claims to fame.

But what is Hong Kong’s icon? London has The Queen and Fish and Chips; the Big Apple has the Statue of Liberty and Times Square. When someone says Hong Kong, what pops into your mind? Take our poll, or if none of the suggestions are a fit, leave your own comment below.

Hong Kong in my opinion is known for it’s fast life, best transportation network in the world, commericalism, fashion, internationalism, man made heaven… According to Jeremy Clarkson of Top Gear UK, “If you want to see human enginuity sit on Tsim Sha Tsui ferry pier and look across the harbour, everything you’d see will be man made!”
