Cathay Pacific Goes Green in 2008
With flyers ever more conscious of the Yeti-sized footprint flying leaves on the earth, more and more airlines are offering carbon offsetting services to their passengers.
First to join the club in 2008 is Cathay Pacific, Hong Kong’s flag carrier. Environmentally conscious flyers booking on Cathay’s website will now have the opportunity to use either their airmiles, or good old fashioned cash to offset the carbon from their personal flight. Cathay’s budget airline brother, Dragon Air is also offering the same service.
