Hong Kong Handover - British Colonial Building Tour
As preparations for the Hong Kong Handover Anniversary Celebrations continue to gather pace, we offer our half-day tour of British colonial buildings to get a taste of old Hong Kong.
When the British took control of the Island in 1839, Hong Kong was no more than a desolate rock, but over the course of the next fifty years Britain erected a host of beautiful colonial buildings.
While many of the buildings came to an explosive end during the Japanese invasion, or fell to heartless townplanners, a number of these sleepy, grand buildings can be found amongst Hong Kong’s steel jungle.
