Kick Off at the Hong Kong Rugby Sevens 2007

Wednesday March 28, 2007

The Hong Kong Sevens 2007 is about to kick off (30 March – 1 April), and the city is in its usual fit of excitement. Most of the city’s expats, at least those with tickets, will be missing in action at work on Friday, while the weekend will see the Rugby Village, just outside the stadium, and Hong Kong’s bars, fill up with revelers.

Ticket touts are out in force, but those tempted should try and hold their nerve; the sea of corporate tickets will mean many people will find themselves with both a free corporate ticket as well as a bought ticket. There should therefore, be plenty of people outside the stadium with double tickets, who will honorably sell there own tickets at face value.

Check out our Guide to the Hong Kong Rugby Sevens for the lowdown on what the tournament is all about. We also have a Hong Kong Rugby Sevens Picture Gallery, where you can see all of the action and celebrations from the 2006 tournament.
