Great article about the Chinese New Year. Let’s hope the year of the pig brings luck and prosperity to all.
What an experience it must be to go to Hong Kong during the New Year. I grew up in San Francisco and a highlight of the year for me was going to China Town for the parade. Happy New Year!
I used to go to Hong Kong quite often on business but sadly was never there during the main Chinese New Year festivities. I do remember a lot of excitement over the red packets you mentioned in your article. Happy New Year!
I’d have to watch myself on the no-new-shoes part of New Year superstitions. Although the candy eaten to bring on a sweet new year would help with any shopping withdrawal.
